In her latest outburst, she claimed that Republicans would “put her back in chains” if they could. Apparently, she’s unfamiliar with American history—or just hopes you are. The Republican Party was literally founded to abolish slavery. It was the abolitionist party. So no, Republicans didn’t put anyone in chains—and they certainly can’t put her “back” in them.
What makes Crockett’s rhetoric so absurd is that she rails against injustices from the past as if they were committed by “America” as a whole. But let’s be clear: it was the Democratic Party—the same one she proudly belongs to—that defended slavery, imposed Jim Crow, and fought against civil rights for over a century. Yet she chooses to stay loyal to that party while blaming Republicans for crimes her own party committed.
Jasmine Crockett is the perfect example of a politician loudly complaining about the consequences of her own party’s history, while pretending it’s someone else’s fault.

But let’s stop pretending that Republicans were the ones behind slavery, Jim Crow, poll taxes, segregation, or the founding of the KKK. Those atrocities were carried out by the Democratic Party, not the GOP.
In fact, the Republican Party has consistently supported civil rights from its inception. And when the 1964 Civil Rights Act came to a vote, it was Republicans — despite being the minority in Congress — who backed it in higher percentages than Democrats. It was Republican support that pushed it over the finish line.
Yet somehow, the GOP never gets credit for that. Maybe it’s time that changed.

Your here and now view point is correct. Your view of the past is almost like beer gargles are being used for a distorted view of what really was. Clearly anyone invoking the evil of being Democrat from the past 150 years and the sprite of morals being the Republican Party at the same time have not spoken with Southerns who know their history. We still hate Lincoln and all things his party did to us. We did not vote Republican until the 1970s after Democrats suddenly became social justice warriors. We still know that somewhere deep down Republicans rather us Southerns disappear after the election and not come back till time to vote. If not for Trump, we with a deep love of our Southern culture would be staying home rather than love the lesser of two evils.
That’s a bunch of gobbledygook nonsense. Republicans don’t “disappear” people. Republicans are Southerners. The reason the south got less racist is because it became more conservative Republican. The Democratic Party has always been one of the most evil organizations in world history.
