Despite acknowledging he had not seen the House Oversight Committee report on the topic, John Kirby, National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, denied on Monday that the Biden family’s business operations pose a national security concern.
In May, the House Oversight Committee revealed that the Biden family business earned at least $10 million from business ventures in China and Romania over the course of several years in exchange for what looks to be influence peddling. According to the inquiry, nine Biden family members got income from the family’s international business interests, including two of Joe Biden’s grandkids.
What I’d like to know is what did these transactions get for the buyers. How badly did Joe Biden sell us out?
During Monday’s White House press conference, a White House correspondent asked Kirby, “Have you read the report yourself and do you personally think there are any national security concerns here?”
“No, and no.” he said. And unicorns are real.

During last Wednesday’s White House press briefing, a reporter asked Kirby about a recent Harvard/Harris poll, which found that 53% of Americans, including a quarter of Democrats, believe Joe Biden “was involved with his son in an illegal influence peddling scheme.”
“What do you say to the majority of Americans who believe that the president is himself corrupt?” questioned the reporter.
“Wow,” Kirby responded, hesitating before declaring, “There’s nothing to these claims.”
The inquiries come as the House Oversight Committee launches a new inquiry into an unclassified document allegedly detailing an arrangement involving the exchange of money for policy decisions between now-President Joe Biden and a foreign national.
The FBI obtained the paper as a result of an interview with the informant, who is said to be a “highly credible” FBI source with a history extending back to the Obama administration.
The disgraced FBI Director, Christopher Wray, refuses to turn over the subpoenaed records to the House Oversight Committee. Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) said on Monday that the committee will try to hold Wray in contempt of Congress on Thursday.
“FBI officials confirmed that the unclassified, FBI-generated record has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation,” Comer said. “The confidential human source who provided the information about then-Vice President Joe Biden being involved in a criminal bribery scheme is a trusted, highly credible informant who is being used by the FBI for over ten years and has been paid over six figures.”
