Gov. Ron DeSantis seems to become more popular every day. He has gotten some powerful endorsements from some prominent Democrats, but possibly none is as powerful as the one he got from an unidentified man in Arcadia. Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis visited Arcadia to view the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and to determine what the people need there in order to help them get through this crisis. DeSantis is a hands-on governor and the people love him for that.
The man said:
“[DeSantis] is here in Arcadia, I don’t know about the rest of y’all but he’s here in Arcadia so y’all know who we voting for. I don’t know about the rest of you motherfuckers but I’m voting for DeSantis and I’m a Democrat. So y’all can call it whatever the fuck y’all want.”

DeSantis spoke in Arcadia and North Port Sunday afternoon. He then took a boat tour of the affected areas. There are 840,000 people without power in Florida but just as DeSantis promised, there are 42,000 linesmen working to get the power back on. They have already restored power to 1.8 million homes. There are several points of distribution for food and water throughout the affected areas including Arcadia. Arcadia is located in DeSota County and DeSantis is supplying gas stations with generators so that they can sell gas to the residents.
Florida’s First Lady Casey DeSantis announced Sunday that the Florida Disaster Fund had raised more than $21 million in 48 hours, according to Click Orlando.
Hurricane Ian made landfall in southeast Florida on Wednesday as a Category 4 storm, with storm surges and nearly Category 5-strength winds barreling though towns and cities.
Thanks to the advance planning by the governor, almost all of the people are happy. Not the Democrats though. They were hoping for a botched response from the governor. They will still try to demean his efforts but the people in the affected areas wil know better.
