A new whistleblower has come forward and if that person is telling the truth, which I don’t doubt, bias against Trump supporters who were victims of hurricanes was much more than the one person FEMA fired. The Whistleblower claims that a FEMA contract agent pressured an elderly couple to remove Trump and MAGA signs from their yard, telling them that despite their losses the signs could prevent them from getting ad from FEMA. They reluctantly removed the display.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer shared the details in a post on X. Comer says the incident proves that FEMA considers Trump supporters as domestic terrorists. The incident reportedly occurred earlier in October and involved a contractor who was afraid that the display would be looked at unfavorably by FEMA and from what we have seen, he was right. I believe he pressured them because he was concerned that FEMA would withhold help for the elderly couple.
Comer wrote:
“My staff just made contact with a new whistleblower who provided a credible account that a FEMA contractor visited the home of an elderly disabled veteran’s family around October 10. While there, he recommended that the family remove Trump campaign materials and signs from their house and yard, stating that his FEMA supervisors view Trump supporters as domestic terrorists.”
“The elderly homeowners were so frightened by this and afraid that they would not recover their loss that they removed the signs. Nevertheless, FEMA has not returned to their residence. This took place not in Florida, but Georgia.”
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELThe latest whistleblower account adds to a growing list of allegations against FEMA after reports emerged that a FEMA supervisor, identified as Marn’i Washington, allegedly instructed aid workers in Florida to bypass the homes of Trump supporters while distributing assistance after Hurricane Milton. The claims included internal communications and a screenshot of a leadership flowchart pointing to Washington’s involvement.
Earlier Tuesday, Republican New York Rep. Marc Molinaro pressed FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell over allegations that the agency prioritized aiding illegal immigrants over American citizens in disaster response. Molinaro cited records showing FEMA allocated nearly $1 billion to assist with the migrant crisis while struggling to fund hurricane recovery efforts. Molinaro asked Criswell to address what he called “absurd” funding decisions.
Republican New York Rep. Marc Molinaro pressed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell Tuesday about prioritizing illegal immigrants over American citizens in the agency’s disaster response efforts.
FEMA lacked adequate funds in its response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton after disbursing roughly $1 billion over the past two fiscal years to help cities, counties and states grapple with the migrant crisis as part of its Shelter and Services Program, records show. Molinaro, during a House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing, attempted to get Criswell to acknowledge the “absurdity” of these funding decisions, but she resisted.
“Do you see the absurdity that American citizens are getting their $750 and then yes, struggling through a very complicated process to meet the thresholds necessary to get the aid they need to have housing, food and shelter while your agency is contracting with not for profits to easily hand out access to those who are placed here illegally?” Molinaro asked. “Do you see the absurdity?”
