PBS CEO Paula Kerger just handed Congress the clearest case yet for why PBS and NPR deserve to be defunded. Under oath—a setting where honesty is not optional—Kerger repeatedly misled lawmakers, committing what amounts to perjury. In a heated exchange, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) played a clip from PBS programming featuring a drag queen performing for children as young as three. The segment wasn’t just inappropriate—it was blatant indoctrination. Kerger insisted the video never aired and claimed it was accidentally uploaded to the PBS website before being “immediately removed.” But the facts—and the footage—say otherwise.

Later in the hearing, Rep. Will Timmons (R-SC) asked Kerger about the station’s transgender programming for children, and lied, saying that:
“The drag queen was actually not on any of our kids shows. The image that that Chairman Taylor Greene showed was from a project that our New York City station did with the New York City Department of Education… It did not air.”
She continued:
“It was mistakenly put on our website by our New York City Station. It was not intended for national distribution. It was immediately pulled down. It was never broadcast.”
As Congresswoman Greene then pointed out:
“Ms. Kerger lied under oath and said it wasn’t featured on PBS. This show was aired on PBS on April 1, 2021.”
Greene further showed the receipts from PBS’s website, revealing that the disgusting clip, featured in the so-called educational programming for children, was not “immediately pulled down,” as Kerger claims, but expired nearly two months after it first aired.
The clip that Greene played for the Committee shows the “predator” cross-dresser luring young children by singing a spin-off of ‘Wheels on the Bus’ and shaking his hips and shoulders, and showing a close-up shot of his mouth.
“We’re going to start with our hips,” he says before singing, “the hips on the drag queen, go, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish” and “the shoulders on the drag queen, go, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy.”
“The mouth on the drag queen goes blah blah blah all through the town.”

Greene: As mentioned earlier, PBS was the outlet that featured the child predator drag queen on the education show for kids ages three to eight years old. And to clarify the record, because our witness, Ms. Kerger, lied under oath and said it wasn’t featured on PBS. This show was aired on PBS on April 1, 2021. And we will take a look at this video right now.
The hips go, swish, swish, swish? The shoulders go shimmy, shimmy, shimmy? That’s repulsive. That’s not what children, ages three to eight should ever be watching; a grown, biological man, posing as a woman. And by the way, Ms. Kerger, that was aired on April 1, 2021, and then something happened. It wasn’t an accident, and it wasn’t just for a brief time that it was up. It was aired on April 1, and then somehow it expired on May 24. Later on, it was taken down. I wonder why. I wonder why that was taken down.
