Pennsylvania lawmakers have voted to impeach Soros-funded Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.
Tuesday morning, the House Judiciary Committee voted 14-8 to impeach Krasner.
Several GOP members said Krasner’s misbehavior and mismanagement contributed to increased violent crime in Philadelphia.
The three Republican lawmakers who launched the plan to impeach Krasner don’t represent Philadelphia, but Representative Martina White does.
White accused Krasner of “dereliction of duty and despicable behavior,” and said he runs his office with a “staggering amount of dysfunction.”
“This man has denied that there is even a crisis of crime happening on our streets,” White added. “No public official is above accountability, and if not for us in this chamber, he would have no oversight.”

Republicans, on the other hand, argued that he should be ousted from office for a number of reasons, including his failure to prosecute some minor crimes, his policies regarding bail requests, his staff oversight, and reports that his office did not adequately notify crime victims about certain matters. Additionally, they claimed that Krasner prevented the House from looking into his office.
Nearly 1,000 people have been murdered since January 2021, and 61.5 percent of fatal shootings in which no one is arrested, according to a report released by Republican Lawmakers that gives crime figures. Additionally, it indicates that up to 20% of firearms charges and 65% of violent crime prosecutions are dropped or withdrawn, respectively.
“What’s the result of that? You have more folks who unfortunately have perpetrated crimes back on the streets to do the same thing again,” Select Committee Chairperson John Lawrence, R-Chester, said.
Krasner, a two-term Democrat, has resisted the House committee, its hearings, and calls to quit, telling Philly’s FOX 29 that the campaign to remove him is political.
“Philadelphia voted for me overwhelmingly because they want what we are doing,” Krasner said on Good Day Philadelphia. “When you bring change, the reality is that there are certain entities who don’t want change.”
I was born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love and I can tell you with certainty that a glass of water with a D on it could win in Philadelphia.
The Pennsylvania chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union has backed Krasner. Of course they did. Over the years the ACLU has been involved in a lot of communist activities.
The majority in the PA House is abusing its power in trying to impeach Philly DA Larry Krasner. Call your state rep and tell them to respect the will of Philadelphia voters and vote "no."https://t.co/KVSq6kkTRg pic.twitter.com/CYykeSz0Iu

“As we’ve been saying since the start of his sham impeachment effort targeting DA Krasner, this is both a clear political attack on a duly elected official and an effort to disenfranchise the voters of Philadelphia who reelected Mr. Krasner just last year. The election last week was a clear rejection of the type of fear-mongering and tough-on-crime rhetoric that those leading the impeachment effort continue to sell. The people aren’t buying it,” ACLU of Pennsylvania legislative director Elizabeth Randol said. “Democracy won last Tuesday, but it seems like Republicans in the state House must have missed the news. This impeachment effort is anti-democratic on its own, but when you consider that those leading this effort rushed to hold a vote even as the balance of power remains undecided in the state House is remarkably cynical.”
Krasner’s office published crime statistics after the vote.
According to the Philadelphia DAO, 83% of trial-ready fatal gunshot cases result in a conviction, and 87% of all homicides. In trial-ready non-fatal shooting cases, the office says 79% are convicted.
The office noted a backlog of open cases due to court closures induced by COVID-19, which is adding to overall conviction rates.
Chester, Allegheny, Berks, Lehigh and Luzerne counties showed a higher increase in homicides from 2019-2021 than Philadelphia, Krasner’s office reports.
The impeachment resolution will be voted on again in the state House.
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
