President Trump is asking the Supreme Court to intervene in the illegal seizure of personal papers stolen from him at Mar-a-Lago. The FBI and DOJ took his personal papers, his medical records, correspondence with his lawyers, and even his tax papers. One thing all of these items have in common is that neither the FBI nor the DOJ could ever get a search warrant to seize these records. They were stolen in order to search for any crime they think they can pin on Trump.
Trump filed an emergency request to partially block an order from a lower court that allowed them to continue rifling through his documents. They can use these forbidden documents can be used to develop independent leads which can be used in a court of law. It’s one of the many back doors the corrupt FBI and DOJ uses because quite frankly, laws do not apply to Nazis.
Federal district Judge Aileen Cannon said on September 15:
“The court does not find it appropriate to accept the government’s conclusions on these important and disputed issues without further review by a neutral third party in an expedited and orderly fashion.”
Attorneys for the former president called for an independent review of the documents by a special master who would examine the documents in order to decide what the DOJ can and cannot see. Another court ruled that they can continue to investigate those papers. That is what Trump wants SCOTUS to rule on.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELWhile Trump has claimed numerous times that he used the power of the Executive branch to declassify all of the documents that he brought to Mar-a-Lago, the appeals panel noted that his attorneys had not yet used that argument in court.
“Plaintiff has not even attempted to show that he has a need to know the information contained in the classified documents. Nor has he established that the current administration has waived that requirement for these documents,” the panel wrote.
Some on the left were incensed that a judge appointed by Trump had ruled in his favor and they lashed out on social media about their consternation.
The FBI seized around 11,000 documents from Mar-a-Lago on August 8 and of those, about 100 were identified as classified documents.
