Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) (AOC) garnered the ire of some leftists over the weekend after promoting President Joe Biden‘s re-election attempt in 2024.
During an interview with the lefty podcast “Pod Save America,” the 33-year-old New York senator was asked if she would back Biden or one of his two challengers, Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., for the Democratic presidential nomination next year.
“I think he’s done quite well given the limitations that we have,” the Democratic socialist said on the podcast Thursday, adding that “given that field” of candidates, she would support the president’s reelection bid.
“I do think that there are ebbs and flows, as there are in any presidency,” AOC added.
“There are areas that I think were quite strong when [Biden] came right out of the gate with the American Rescue Plan and, of course, the Inflation Reduction Act was a massive step in terms of our climate agenda,” she continued.
The congressman admitted that “there are also areas that I think could have gone better” in Biden’s administration thus far, but she then blamed the problems on “major structural issues” that “start with the [Democrat-controlled] United States Senate.”

Briahna Joy Gray, a former Sanders campaign press secretary, claimed the “Squad” leader “endorsing Joe Biden now is A Betrayal Of Progressive Interests.”
I guess these radical leftist lunatics feel that the destruction Biden and his administration have done to our country so far was not enough.
Gray tweeted, “Endorsing Joe Biden now is a betrayal of progressive interests. It was true of Bernie Sanders’ endorsement & its true of AOC. *Most* Democrats don’t want Biden to run. Bernie and AOC are tragically out of step w/ the movement & the moment.”

You have to love when the Left starts to eat its own. It happens every time they get power because of the flawed Marxist model of bringing multiple freak shows together for power in numbers, and then after they get power, they realize they no longer need each other. For example, look at how Muslims are now breaking away from LGBTQ+ people. After gaining political power, they realized they have absolutely nothing in common with them. Now, they are demonstrating against school boards that allow gender ideology to be taught in classrooms.
Gray went on to say that “at the very least,” progressive lawmakers “should be asking for commitments in exchange for their endorsement.”
“Even better, they should be using the Marianne/RFK campaigns to highlight the failures of Biden & the Dems on Ukraine, healthcare, & more,” she added.
Gray’s remark seemed to strike a chord with several Democrats, who agreed with the former corporate attorney turned political analyst.
“The Squad are careerist … more interested in securing their congressional sinecures for life, rather than taking on the establishment they were elected to fight,” one Twitter user remarked. “Biden is bad news. He’s been an absolute disaster for the US.”
Others said that the congresswoman’s withdrawal from the Sanders campaign suggested that she had been “paid off” by more moderate Democrats to support Biden.
“I hope [AOC] got a very juicy payoff,” commented one Twitter user.
“It can’t be that surprising to learn your bartender works for tips,” remarked another, referring to AOC’s previous restaurant work.
