Record-Breaking 16 Million Firearms Purchased in 2023, Defying Biden’s Gun Control Efforts

These twenty-seven words are easy to understand when read in vulgate average person language, but for some reason, the leftists in government continue to try to take away our God-given right to defend ourselves and the people we love. Well, America has spoken.

The most recent firearm sales figures are available, and they reveal that Americans purchased nearly 16 million firearms in 2023, despite Biden’s gun control efforts.

According to the FBI’s National Criminal Background Check System, 29,854,186 background checks were conducted in 2023. This surpasses the previous record of 28,904,713 background checks set in 2022, according to Guns.com.

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Americans will purchase an estimated 15.8 million weapons in 2023, with 1,775,834 million sold in December alone.

According to NSSF spokesperson Mark Oliva, 24 states presently allow gun owners to acquire additional firearms without undergoing another background check, so the actual number of sales is certainly greater.

According to Guns.com, this latest figure extends a 53-month streak of more than 1 million handgun purchases per month.

“By the millions for 50 months straight, law-abiding citizens are choosing to their right to keep and bear arms, despite the efforts of gun control politicians to enact laws to chill that right and others that issue unconstitutional edicts that deny that right,” Oliva wrote in a letter to the media in September of this year.

“Lawful firearm possession is truly the determining factor of the American character – that we are a people of self-determination and not left to be victims of those who have no respect for life or law.”

“Americans showed they want their Second Amendment rights by the millions — once again. These are solid figures that reflect the mood of Americans and the desire to exercise Second Amendment rights” Oliva said of the most recent data.

The data comes despite the Biden-Harris administration’s use of a “‘whole-of-government’ approach” to curtail law-abiding people’ Second Amendment rights, Oliva stated.

Oliva was delighted by the data and anticipates sales to continue to climb until 2024.

According to Analyzing America, Olivia said, “These figures are encouraging for the firearm industry going into 2024. History indicates that background checks for the lawful sale of firearms typically rise during election years. This industry is ready to satisfy the demand for lawful firearm ownership in America.”

In 2023 alone, Americans faced a barrage of new restrictions on their Second Amendment rights, with calls for even greater restrictions.

In August, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and guns increased its attempts to deprive gun dealers of their federal guns licenses, removing 122 licenses from dealers in Fiscal Year 2023 alone.

The Biden administration also declared in December that it was taking “executive action” and would begin working with states to develop laws that they believe states should pass to further restrict firearms.

The Gas-Operated Semi-Automatic Firearms Exclusion Act, proposed in the Senate in December, “addresses the lethal capacity weapons like the one used in Lewiston and most of the deadliest mass shootings across the country,” according to The Hill.

The law also wants to prohibit magazines bigger than 10 rounds, modifications such as bump stocks, and the production of ghost gun kits.

Democrats are always trying to take rights away from the people. Once you lose your Second Amendment rights, the rest of your rights will soon be taken away. The Second Amendment is the only reason Americans are still relatively free from totalitarian rule.

Despite the avalanche of new restrictions, Americans continue to favor the Second Amendment, and it does not appear that this will change anytime soon.
