Former Clinton labor secretary Robert Reich (of the lollipop guild) said in a post on Facebook on Sunday that former President Donald Trump should be barred from running again, not just because of his indictment, but also under the Fourteenth Amendment.
“Not only should Trump be prosecuted,” Reich said, “but Section 3 of the 14th Amendment clearly bars anyone from holding office who has ‘engaged in insurrection’ against the United States of America. He should be disqualified from running for president. It’s that simple.”
From the 14th Amendment:
“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”
The phrase “insurrection or rebellion” alludes to the Confederate States of America. Democrats accuse Trump of “insurrection” for the Capitol violence on January 6, despite the fact that the president conducted a peaceful rally a mile away opposing the certification of some Electoral College ballots, a constitutional procedure that Democrats had previously attempted. He also instructed rioters at the Capitol to leave, but this was several hours later.
It is amazing how many Democrats have tried to keep Trump from running for president. The ENTIRE DOJ/FBI leadership was behind interfering in the 2016 election and Trump won, anyway.

He should know. His wife, Nellie Ohr, was hired by the opposition research company Fusion GP to write it. Hillary Clinton hired Fusion GPS.
Trump then went through two phony impeachments, and now he’s being charged with crimes that everyone in America knows are bogus.
Trump has gone through over 8 years of election interference and the misinformation fake news media is covering for it all.
Now we have fake news personalities floating the idea that Trump could cut a deal to have all charges thrown out if he drops out of the 2024 presidential campaign.
