A 20-year-old now dead guy is the prime suspect in the alleged Trump assassination attempt.
The FBI has identified the culprit in the suspected assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
On Saturday, the FBI declared that there was “an assassination attempt against our former President Donald Trump” at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
During its initial press briefing about Saturday night’s shooting, the FBI released minimal details, including no names of suspects. However, the FBI identified the shooter early Sunday morning.
The FBI stated in a press release:
“The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the subject involved in the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump on July 13, in Butler, Pennsylvania. This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and anyone with information that may assist with the investigation is encouraged to submit photos or videos online at FBI.gov/butler or call 1-800-CALL-FBI.”

Previously, the FBI stated that the suspect did not have identification when law enforcement discovered the alleged gunman’s body after a US Secret Service sniper reportedly shot and killed him after firing on the former president. However, investigators allegedly examined his DNA to prove his identity. The claimed gunman was apparently on the roof of a manufacturing factory, around 130 yards from the stage where Trump appeared.
Crooks is reportedly a 20-year-old man from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, about an hour south of Trump’s speech in Butler.
Trump was spotted cowering as gunfire rang out during his Pennsylvania event. Secret Service agents raced to his side, and the former president was spotted bleeding from the ear while raising his fist in defiance.

After the shooting, Trump posted on Truth Social:
“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, said the following on Truth Social:
“Failed Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle MUST be asked in front of Congress, and under oath, “Have you denied any security requests from supervisors on the Donald Trump protective detail?”
If she answers “No,” she’s absolutely NOT telling the truth.
Resignations should start today over yesterday’s atrocity of a security plan.”
Someone in the Secret Service needs to lose their job and be investigated. 130 yards away from the former president? How many other vulnerabilities were overlooked? This is not a good look for the service.
I would like to know which three-lettered Biden agency ordered the hit. I said for some time now that I believe the Democrats will try to assassinate Trump because they are so desperate to win in November and they know Joe Biden doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell.
