There are signs that Kyrsten Cinema will leave the Democratic Party. She could become a Republican or she could become an independent. I seriously doubt she would go the independent route. If she died, she would have to announce which party she would caucus with. If she chose to caucus with the Democrats, she would be competing with both a Republican and a Democrat for reelection. The same thing would be true if she caucused with the Republicans.
Her only real hope is to become a Republican. No doubt she would get the nomination. She could cut herself a deal for committee appointments and raise her prominence something she will never do as a Democrat, a party that hates her. She would get the Republican support and the votes of moderate Democrats who hate white Biden and the Democrats are doing.
The forecast came on the heels of an event attended by both Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, the moderate Arizona Democrat who has regularly been criticized by her party for not going along lockstep with key pieces of spending legislation and plans to ditch the filibuster.
During the event, which was held at the University of Kentucky in Louisville earlier this week, McConnell praised Sinema for her frequent displays of bipartisanship during an event at the McConnell Center during which he claimed she had been the “most effective first-term senator” he has seen during his Senate career, The Western Journal reported.
The two have struck up a friendship and you must Remember the 2024 election cycle for 2024 favors Republicans, which means that she would become the chairman of one of her committee assignments. That alone would give her an incentive to make the switch. But, she should do it soon to discourage any other Republican from running.

“Despite our apparent differences, Sen. McConnell and I have forged a friendship, one that is rooted in our commonalities, including our pragmatic approach to legislating, our respect for the Senate as an institution,” she said.
Regardless, I don’t believe she will make a move until after the midterm election.
