Tara Reade, who previously accused Joe Biden of sexual assault in 1993, has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the FBI, alleging the agency engaged in a campaign to silence and discredit her through an operation named “Cassandra.” At the time of the alleged assault, Reade was working in Biden’s office as an aide.
Reade’s legal action asserts that this was an attempt to protect Biden, claiming her civil and constitutional rights were violated. The case revives her allegations, which first surfaced in 2020 and have been consistently denied by the Biden administration. Did anyone think they would say otherwise? This administration lies about everything, even when they don’t have to.
The tort suit, filed by attorney Jonathon Levy, accuses the FBI of subjecting Reade to an ongoing FBI operation known as “Operation Cassandra,” which the plaintiff believes was designed to eliminate her as a threat to Joe Biden through harassment, retribution, discrediting, and intimidation.
According to the press release announcing the suit, “Tara Reade was sexually victimized by then-Senator Joseph Biden in 1993. Congressional investigators suppressed her case to protect Senator Biden and the records remain sealed. When Tara spoke out again in 2019, she was immediately subjected to an ongoing FBI operation to revictimize her a second time. The FBI Operation ‘Cassandra’ was opened in order to retaliate, intimidate, discredit, and if possible, eliminate Tara as a threat to President Biden.”
Independent journalist Laura Loomer took to social media and made the announcement:
“BREAKING: Tara Reade, the woman who was sexually assaulted by@JoeBiden in 1993 just filed a tort complaints with the US Department of Justice seeking $10 MILLION in damages for invasion of privacy, emotional distress, and a violation of her rights. She is accusing the FBI of launching a secret operation called “Operation Casandra” to stalk her, discredit her, intimated her and possibly even “eliminate her” if need be so that she wouldn’t be a threat to @JoeBiden.

“Last month, Ms. Reade requested the Department of Justice investigate violations of her civil rights by the FBI and to turn over and expunge her file. Tara Reade is now requesting $10 million in damages from the FBI which Levy states is justified given the recent much larger speech-related judgments against Rudy Giuliani and former president Donald Trump,” according to the lawsuit.
Levy believes that “The United States should not have a two-tiered justice system. If President Trump and Mr. Giuliani can be assessed tens of millions in damages for their words; a weaponized FBI that seeks to silence, intimidate, and eliminate Joe Biden’s victim, Tara Reade, must also be held accountable; failing to do so means our justice and legal system has become an instrument of political oppression and suppression.”
Reade originally accused Biden of sexual assault while he was a United States Senator in 1993. Court filings show that she was employed as an aide in his office at the time of the alleged event. She alleges that Biden held her against a wall, reached beneath her skirt, and sexually assaulted her.
