The Bronx last hosted a Republican presidential campaign in 1984, when Ronald Reagan won by a landslide.
“I think we have a good chance of winning here, and we’re gonna give it a big plan,” Trump said of New York State. “We’re going to the South Bronx to do a rally.”
“We’re going to be doing a rally at Madison Square Garden, we believe,” he said.
The rallies will celebrate cops, firefighters, and teachers. “We’ll be honoring the people that make New York work,” Trump said in a statement. “It’ll be very exciting, but we think we have a really good chance of winning.”
Trump also remained on campaign message, criticizing President Joe Biden’s pricey economy, open borders, and anti-Israel protests at America’s “elite” institutions.
“[Police] would like to be at the colleges” to secure the campuses “because what’s happening at the colleges is a disgrace,” Trump added, making a distinction between the police guarding the Manhattan courthouse and the college campuses. “This courthouse is locked down, and there’s not a person within five blocks. They have more police here.”

“So I’m gonna go in now and sit in front of a case—election interference,” he remarked. “But I guess based on what I’m looking at, it’s driving up my poll numbers.”
Trump reversed Biden’s recent national polling advances by outperforming him in battleground states, according to a Morning Consult/Bloomberg poll released Wednesday. According to the findings, Trump leads in six of the seven swing state races in 2024, indicating his sustained dominance against Biden.
One of Trump’s establishment adversaries, Karl Rove, who is linked with Senator Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY), praised his messaging. “He’s done this several times before,” Rove told Fox News of Trump’s on-message strategy. “Whoever’s advising him on this ought to be given a gold star because it’s good advice.”
“It is better for him to grab moments like this, walking in and commenting on the news of the day,” Rove said, “rather than making it all about what he feels [about the criminal trial]. And he feels obviously strongly about this—about his treatment in this case; we’ve heard that once or twice already,” he said. “We don’t need to hear it again.”
Two of the biggest mistakes the Democrats made during this election:
- Sending millions of illegal aliens into black and Hispanic communities. The people who live in those neighborhoods know full well that the Democrats are trying to replace them with illegals, and they resent it. Tax dollars that they paid are being used to support people who broke the law by coming into the country illegally. They don’t belong here, but the Democrats are catering to them at citizens’ expense.
- Judge Juan Merchan told Trump he couldn’t leave New York during the trial. Trump was handed a lemon, and he’s making lemonade by reaching out to New Yorkers and talking to them, letting them know what he wants to do for the country.
