According to reports, a building holding the German consulate’s visa office in Kyiv (Kiev) has been targeted amid a wave of Russian attacks across Ukraine.
The German BILD, the best-selling tabloid newspaper in Europe, cited former Heinrich Böll Foundation chairman Sergej Sumlenny as saying that during Monday’s missile strikes, “the Russians targeted the building where the visa office of the German embassy in Kyiv was located.”
Sumlenny suggested in a social media post that “[m]aybe some Leopards can be sent to check the situation on the ground” in reference to the Leopard 2 main battle tank, which is the cornerstone of German armored capability. He also tagged German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, and the Ministry of Defense.

Heavy damage was done to Kyiv’s and other major cities’ infrastructure on Monday, with many believing the attacks were in retaliation for a weekend explosion that destroyed the Kerch Bridge connecting Crimea and mainland Russia, which the Ukrainians celebrated even though they did not officially claim responsibility for it.
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, said in broadcast statements after the attacks, “If acts of terrorism against Russia continue, we will retaliate in a very serious manner.”
“The reactions will be on a par with the threats against Russia. Nobody should be in any doubt regarding this,” he said.
Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine are being targeted with missile strikes destroying "critical infrastructure". TalkTV has yet to verify these videos.

After advances in Donbas and the southern Kherson region as a result of Russia’s retreat from occupied territory near Kharkiv, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reacted combatively, “So, russkies, you really think you can make up for your incapacity on the battlefield with missile strikes on peaceful cities?” (Kharkov).
“You just don’t get it do you – your terrorist strikes only make us stronger. We are coming after you,” the Ukrainians promised.
According to Ukrainian officials, the strikes mostly targeted “essential infrastructure,” causing heat and power outages and, in some cases, the deaths of civilians.
