President Trump is once again pushing for the acquisition of Greenland, noting that it is vital to the security of the United States. Greenland belongs to Denmark and in his first term he pushed for buying it, but was rebuffed by Denmark and by Greenland. I can’t blame Denmark because who would want to be owned by the DNC with help from spineless Mike Johnson?
In a statement released on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
I am pleased to announce Ken Howery as my choice for United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. Ken is a World renowned entrepreneur, investor, and public servant, who served our Nation brilliantly during my First Term as U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, where he led efforts to increase Defense, Security, and Economic Cooperation between our Countries.
As a Co-Founder of PayPal and venture capital fund, Founders Fund, Ken turned American Innovation and Tech leadership into Global success stories, and that experience will be invaluable in representing us abroad.
For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity. Ken will do a wonderful job in representing the interests of the United States. Thank you Ken, and congratulations!
In August 2019, during his first term, President Donald Trump expressed interest in purchasing Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark. He had long discussions with his advisors, believing that buying Greenland would benefit this country in several ways. But, Greenland’s government declared:

Trump’s interest in Greenland follows his threat to take back the Panama Canal that Jimmy Carter handed over to Panama and China. If Panama was pressured by China to stop US military traffic from using the canal, it would be a huge advantage to China if war ever broke out.
Trump warned:
“The United States has a vested interest in the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of the Panama Canal, and that was always understood. We would and will NEVER let it fall into the wrong hands! It was not given for the benefit of others, but merely as a token of cooperation with us and Panama. If the principles, both moral and legal, of this magnanimous gesture of giving are not followed, then we will demand that the Panama Canal be returned to us, in full, and without question. To the Officials of Panama, please be guided accordingly!”
The Panama officials responded:
“As President, I want to express clearly that every square meter of the Panama Canal and its adjacent zone belongs to Panama, and will continue to do so. The sovereignty and independence of our country are not negotiable.”
“The Canal is not under direct or indirect control, neither by China, nor by the European Community, nor by the United States, nor by any other power. As a Panamanian, I strongly reject any manifestation that distorts this reality.”
“Panama respects other nations and demands respect.”
