President Joe Biden is traveling to Philadelphia on Tuesday to promote the right to vote.
Former President Donald Trump sent out a statement praising the election audit investigation that is going on now in Pennsylvania.
While there, Biden is expected to support the idea of a new election law that everyone believes will never make it past the Senate GOP, with Republicans saying that Biden is lying about Republican state election law reforms while he presses for a radical federal takeover of state election laws, which is a violation of the US Constitution.
Before Biden left the White House Trump referred to the president’s Pennsylvania visit as a “joke” when his real mission is to counter the work being done by Republican state Senator Doug Mastriano who is pursuing a 2020 election investigation.
I wrote to Senator Mastriano about his efforts, and he replied with the following:
Millions of Pennsylvanians have serious doubts about the accuracy of the 2020 General Election. A January poll from Muhlenberg University showed that 40% of Pennsylvania voters are not confident that the results of the 2020 Election accurately reflected how Pennsylvanians voted. Discounting or mocking their concerns is neither an answer nor proper in this constitutional republic.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELIt should also be noted that in the weeks leading up to the election, the Department of State repeatedly altered the manner in which the Pennsylvania election would be conducted. Those who voted in person were held to a higher standard than those who mailed in their ballots.
We also must bear in mind that the 2020 Election was the first election in Pennsylvania with “mass” mail-in voting. There were 2.7 million ballots cast by mail and absentee compared to about 263,000 absentee ballots cast in 2016. Many of these ballots were counted at offsite locations with little outside observation or oversight.
Furthermore, mail ballots without signature verification were permitted to be counted across the Commonwealth. And, of course, all of this transpired in the midst of Covid-19 where uncertainty and fear impacted the conduct of the election.
Hours before the polls opened on November 3, the department changed the rules again by providing late guidance on how to help voters whose mail-in or absentee ballots were incorrectly completed. The “guidance” resulted in inconsistent application across the Commonwealth. Some counties contacted voters as directed while others did not. There was no basis for that guidance in current or case law.
Therefore, it defies logic to assume that an election with the kinds of drastic changes we saw in 2020 was run perfectly with zero errors or fraud.
A full forensic investigation is critically necessary for our Commonwealth and for the sake of transparency and accountability. There is nothing to fear if there is nothing to hide. Those who have concerns about the integrity of the 2020 and 2021 election will have those concerns investigated and hopefully addressed. Those who think that there was zero voter fraud, no irregularities, and that someone conducted perfectly the elections will have the chance to be vindicated.
The case for a forensic investigation of the 2020 general election is evident to any unbiased observer.
The official number that Biden won Pennsylvania was by 80,000 votes. Not a single Pennsylvanian I know really believes that. Last week, Mastriano asked county officials for information. The senator issued letters to three counties on June 7, giving county officials a comprehensive request for information pertaining to the 2020 election, with the threat of subpoenas for holdouts who do not respond affirmatively by July’s end.
“Joe Biden is going to Pennsylvania today in a rush in order to stop the Forensic Audit that the Pennsylvania Republican Senate is in the process of doing. Philadelphia was a cesspool of corruption, which will soon be revealed by the audit,” Trump said.
“Why are they so concerned that a President, who never goes anywhere, would hop onto beautiful Air Force One and head to Philadelphia if it were an honest election? Why not let the audit go forward and make everybody, on both sides, happy,” the former president asked.
Trump continued: “Joe should say go forward with this, with all of these audits. His visit is a joke. He doesn’t need to visit, all he needs to do is let them do an audit and find out what happened. Who knows, maybe they’ll say the election was on the up and up, but many people would be shocked.”
Last week, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Biden will speak about “his administration’s actions to protect the sacred, constitutional right to vote and the need to overcome anti-voter laws.” That’s a laugh riot coming from Biden after he has lied repeatedly against election integrity laws going so far once as to call Georgia’s new election integrity law, “Jim Crow on steroids.” Even the Washington Post, who endorsed Biden (of course), gave him four Four Pinocchios for lying about the new Georgia law.
“He will make the moral case to the American people on why the right to vote is fundamental to who we are as a nation,” Psaki said.
These Democrat clowns don’t understand that the reason election integrity laws and so many election audits are being done is to restore faith in that fundamental right to vote, faith that was shaken by what happened during the 2020 election. Not a single election integrity law created has anything that stops anyone from voting. To the contrary, they protect the right of every voter’s vote to count, something Democrats for decades took away for too many voters. Every time a person votes illegally it takes a vote away from someone who voted legally. Democrats want to be able to cheat and that’s why they come out against election integrity laws.
