Authorities in Nashville conducted a press conference late Monday afternoon, revealing fresh details about the mass shooting at The Covenant School that killed three children and three adults.
The suspect was identified as Audrey Hale by Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake.
Unfortunately, the Nashville Covenant School mass shooting happened in another gun-free school zone.
From Tennessee law 39-17-1309 Carrying Weapons on School Property:
(d) (1) Each chief administrator of a public or private school shall display in prominent locations about the school a sign, at least six inches (6) high and fourteen inches (14) wide, stating:
FELONY. STATE LAW PRESCRIBES A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF SIX (6) YEARS IMPRISONMENT AND A FINE NOT TO EXCEED THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,000) FOR CARRYING WEAPONS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.
Gun-Free School zones are the epitome of leftist ideology where liberals believe that if you make a law and put up a sign declaring guns are not allowed in schools, criminals and crazy people will obey that law. Gun-Free School zone laws turn our children into sitting ducks because whenever a person wants to shoot as many people as possible they know that in a Gun-Free School zone, there will be no responsible adults who can shoot back to defend themselves and the children. And yet, every time there is a mass school shooting in a Gun-Free School zone, Democrats and other liberals dismiss the idea that their stupid gun control laws actually help criminal shooters because they don’t care about the victims. For them, it’s all about getting guns away from law-abiding gun owners.

That was the intention of the Founders who wrote and ratified the Second Amendment. They wanted the American people to be able to defend themselves from criminals and a tyrannical government that wants to harm them.
The suspect, who is now deceased, was a 28-year-old female from the Nashville region. According to Chief Drake, the incident was planned and the suspect “identify as transgender.”
Chief Drake stated that an investigation is underway at the suspect’s residence and that investigators have made contact with the suspect’s father, who lives there.
“There were maps drawn of the school, in detail, of surveillance, entry points, et cetera,” said Chief Drake.
Drake praised First Responders for acting quickly and bravely who “went in to address the threat.” The trans shooter had multiple rounds of ammo and was “prepared for a confrontation with law enforcement and prepared to do more harm than was actually done.”
“We would never wait to make entry and to go in to stop a threat, especially when it deals with our children,” the chief added.
According to Chief Drake, the shooter had “two, AR-style weapons, one a rifle, one an AR-style pistol, and the other was a handgun,” He also stated that two of the firearms could have been bought legally locally.
President Joe Biden and other Democrats wasted no time Monday in exploiting the alleged murders of six people at the private Christian primary school to advance his anti-Second Amendment gun-control agenda.
“We had to do more to stop the gun violence. It’s ripping our communities apart … ripping at the very soul of the nation, and we have to do more to protect our schools so they aren’t turned into prisons,” the president said before any information of the shooter even came out.
For Democrats and other anti-Second Amendment people, it’s always about the guns and not about the people who misuse guns to commit crimes. Their solution never has anything to do with going after criminals; instead, they always want to punish the people who did nothing wrong; law-abiding gun owners.
