Zero COVID-19 Deaths Two Months After Texas Engaged in ‘Neanderthal Thinking’

On Sunday, the state of Texas revealed there were zero deaths from COVID-19 only two months after Republican Governor Greg Abbott received a lot of criticism from the White House for rolling back business restrictions and lifting Texas’ mask mandate.

This was the first time Texas was able to report no COVID-19 deaths in 14 months according to state health data. The governor said that the numbers that were reported Sunday, about 388, were the lowest in over 13 months. It was also the lowest number of hospitalizations in 11 months.

Today Texas reported:

* 0 Covid related deaths–the only time that's happened since data was tracked in March, 2020.

* the fewest Covid cases in over 13 months

* the lowest 7-day Covid positivity rate ever

Back in March, President Joe Biden ripped on Texas and Mississippi for lifting mitigation measures including lockdowns and mask-wearing, accusing Texas state officials of “Neanderthal thinking.” That was before Americans started to realize that the Biden administration was screwing up the country royally, the realization of which forced the CDC to do a complete 180 on wearing masks and social distancing if you were fully vaccinated. Many believe it was politically motivated. White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked by Fox News’ Peter Doocy if Biden still believes Texas and Mississippi’s decision was neanderthal thinking now that they agreed with them for the rest of the country. After much bloviating, she never did answer the question.

At the time they lifted restrictions, Governor Abbott announced that businesses would once again be allowed to operate at full capacity and that was in lieu of health experts who warned that dropping preventative measures could lead to a spike in cases. As we have learned by watching CNN and MSNBC those health experts don’t really know their butt from a hole in the ground.

“I think it’s a big mistake,” Biden told reporters after the Texas governor made the announcement. “Look, I hope everybody’s realized by now, these masks make a difference. We are on the cusp of being able to fundamentally change the nature of this disease because of the way in which we’re able to get vaccines in people’s arms.” There are many epidemiologists who have said that wearing masks and doing lockdowns don’t make any difference whatsoever in stopping the virus. People don’t know that because the tech tyrants on social media censor people who try to get the word out.

Caseloads recently have dropped across the country since more and more Americans are getting vaccinated.

As mentioned, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its guidance last Thursday, declaring it is safe for fully vaccinated Americans to throw out their masks and forget about social distancing, ending over a year of tyrannical treatment by our government forcing healthy people to wear masks and other types of face coverings in most parts of the country. Some liberal states like Hawaii and Massachusetts have decided to keep their mask mandates in effect.

The CDC took on some heat for doing the sudden 180 on the whole wearing masks and social distancing thing because only several weeks ago CDC director Rochelle Walensky went on the air saying she had this terrifying feeling of “impending doom” that COVID cases were going to begin to rise once again.

Some people complained that there was a lot of ambiguity in the new guidance and that it was unclear if there was going to be some sort of honor system instead of a policing system for how to prove people not wearing face diapers really got vaccinated. The same people do not understand the concept of freedom and liberty. They certainly don’t understand that if you have gotten the vaccine you shouldn’t care about what other people do. Other people thought that maybe the lifting of restrictions was to entice more Americans to go get vaccinated. I admit I am of the cynical type and I stand with my original belief that it was to get the news off the front pages about how badly the Biden administration is screwing up our country. When you think about it, the science never changed yet they did a total 180 on COVID restrictions. This is why it’s so important to spread the word that states ending restrictions and opening back up again are doing better than states that have not.
