The Democratic Party has overdosed on Trump Derangement Syndrome. They are now trying to push through a bill that will prevent President Trump from holding public office ever again. Their reasoning is that even though he instructed his followers to march peacefully and patriotically to the Capitol and after it turned into a riot, he put out a video telling his followers to respect the Capitol Police and to go home, he instigated the riot. Twitter removed his video five minutes after it was posted.
They plan on using the 14th Amendment which reads:
“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
The Fourteenth Amendment became law in 1866 in order to prevent Southern states from sending active confederates to Congress or the presidency. The J6 committee will be voting to send a referral to the DOJ to prosecute President Trump. That will die on the vine. Merrick Garland has already failed to get Trump charged with contempt and that was with an Obama-appointed federal judge. Garland will not prosecute any case he cannot win. It makes Trump a martyr.
But, even if the Democrats manage to win this fight, which I don’t believe can be done, the Democrats are in deep trouble. If Trump can’t run, Ron DeSantis will. He is Trump without the baggage. Look at who he would be running against in the general election. The names that have been mentioned are Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsome, Stacey Abrams, and Adam Schiff. How about Beto O’Rourke? Bernie Sanders? What a bunch of losers. Can I get an amen?
The measure declares:
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL“Under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, Donald J. Trump is ineligible to again hold the office of President of the United States, or to hold any office, civil or military, under the United States.”
Rep. David Cicilline of Rhode Island is pushing the measure:
“Donald Trump very clearly engaged in an insurrection on January 6, 2021 with the intention of overturning the lawful and fair results of the 2020 election. You don’t get to lead a government you tried to destroy. The 14th Amendment makes clear that based on his past behavior, Donald Trump is disqualified from ever holding federal office again and, under Section 5, Congress has the power to pass legislation to implement this prohibition.”
House Democrats introduced legislation Thursday—sure to never make it out of a GOP-led House that takes over in January—that would bar former President Donald Trump from being president again under the 14th Amendment, part of a broader effort by Democrats and activists to keep Trump from holding future office through a little-used constitutional provision as he launches his 2024 campaign.
More than 40 House Democrats introduced a bill Thursday that would disqualify Trump from office under that statute based on his trying to overturn the 2020 election and “mobilizing, inciting, and aiding” his supporters who attacked the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, which the bill argues constitutes engaging in an insurrection.

Thank you, your article surprised me, there is such an excellent point of view. Thank you for sharing, I learned a lot.
