In an interview on Wednesday, tech entrepreneur Elon Musk lashed out at firms that quit advertising on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Media Matters, a left-wing activist group run by radical leftist lunatics that aims to convince advertisers to discontinue partnering with right-wing and conservative companies, has targeted Musk.
The following happened while Musk was being interviewed by Andrew Ross Sorkin at the DealBook Summit in New York City. Sorkin brought up the issue of leftists accusing Musk of tweeting something anti-Semitic, and pointed to the fact that companies were pulling their advertisements from the X.com platform when Elon stopped him and started a new dialogue.
“I hope they stop,” Musk said of the advertisers.
Sorkin replied, “You hope…”
“Don’t advertise,” he advised the sponsors.

“No,” Musk replied.
“What do you mean?” Sorkin inquired.
“If somebody’s gonna try to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money? Go f*** yourself!” Musk stated.
Sorkin was shocked by Musk’s remark, so Musk repeated it.
“Go. F***. Yourself,” he said, underscoring each word. “Is that clear? I hope it is.”
He then said something that has created a firestorm on social media. Musk said, “Hey Bob… if you’re in the audience,” which I think he was. Many believed he was referring to Disney CEO Robert Iger, who had just pulled Disney’s advertising from the platform.
The "Hi Bob" was targeted at Disney CEO Bob Iger who is in the audience and has paused advertising on X.

“That’s how I feel. Don’t advertise.”
Sorkin then asked the X owner about the economics of the platform and will he shift away from advertising, etc. and Musk replied again: “G. F. Y.”
Musk then seemed to indicate that his supporters would boycott corporations that attempted to extort him.
He went on to tell Sorkin and the audience that what the advertising boycott was going to do was kill the company.
“The whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company and we will document it in great detail,” Musk went on to say. He’s not playing around. He’s taking a big risk speaking this way about advertisers that want to extort him over politics.
He also apologized for what some deemed an anti-Semitic meme he posted on X, which he later deleted.
“I’m sorry for that tweet or post,” Musk stated. “I tried my best to clarify, six ways to Sunday, but you know at least I think over time it will be obvious that in fact, far from being anti-Semitic, I am in fact philosemitic.”
He described it as “one of the most foolish if not the most foolish thing I’ve ever done on the platform.”
Earlier this month, Musk followed through on a promise to sue Media Matters, accusing them of altering data to appear that adverts appeared adjacent to white nationalist hashtags on the site.
The head of Media Matters, Angelo Carusone, issued a brief statement in response to the threat.
“Far from the free speech advocate he claims to be, Musk is a bully who threatens meritless lawsuits in an attempt to silence reporting that he even confirmed is accurate,” Carusone said in a statement. “Musk admitted the ads at issue ran alongside the pro-Nazi content we identified. If he does sue us, we will win.”
