Michael “Ozzie” Myers, 79, had pleaded guilty to conspiring to illegally vote in a federal election. He was also charged with depriving civil rights, voting records falsification, bribery, obstruction of justice, and orchestrating ballot-stuffing schemes in Pennsylvania’s 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 elections. That’s five elections, he cheated in just short of the Democratic all-time record. Myers served in the US House from 1976 to 1980. he was ejected from the House when he was arrested and sent to prison for three years.
Today, under Nancy Pelosi he could have voted remotely. Rep. Cindy Axne voted by proxy while she was vacationing in France. She has been referred to the Ethics Committee since the only reason you can vote remotely is due to COVID-19. But, several Democrats have voted remotely while they were campaigning for reelection, but they have faced no consequences. I’d bet Axne will get away with it, too. But not for long, maybe. She is in real danger of losing her seat and this latest revelation won’t help her.
Myers will also have to serve three years of supervised release and pay a fine of $100,000 dollars.
Myers bribed election judge Domenick J. Demuro to stuff the ballot box in 2020. Demuro has already pleaded guilty to the charge in 2020. he was told who to stuff the ballots for. Myers also bribed election judge Marie Beren, who pleaded guilty in October 2021 as reported by the Washington Examiner.
FBI Philadelphia Division Special Agent in Charge Jacqueline Maguire said:
“Protecting the legitimacy of elections is critical to ensuring the public’s trust in the process. Through his actions, Ozzie Myers pointedly disdained both the will of Philadelphia voters and the rule of law. He’s now a federal felon twice over, heading back behind bars, with time to consider the great consequence of free and fair elections.”
