Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel demanded that Representative Rashida Tlaib “retract” a “cruel and hateful” social media post in which she sought to defend the pro-Palestinian chant “From the river to the sea.”
Nessel, a fellow Democrat, stated that she had previously “countless times” backed Tlaib because she believed the representative’s “heart was in the right place.”
Nessel took to social media, called Tlaib out, and asked her to remove her hateful post.
“@RashidaTlaib, I have supported and defended you countless times, even when you have said the indefensible, because I believed you to be a good person whose heart was in the right place. But this is so hurtful to so many. Please retract this cruel and hateful remark.”

Tlaib’s “cruel and hateful remark,” according to the Attorney General, was “hurtful to so many.”
The statements by the AG Democrat occurred after Rep. Tlaib supported the slogan “From the river to the sea.”
“From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate,” wrote the Democratic representative. “My work and advocacy is always centered in justice and dignity for all people no matter faith or ethnicity.”
She’s a bald-faced liar. “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” means from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea (essentially Israel) all the Jews will be killed.
Before justifying the remark, Tlaib released a video to X in which she demanded that President Biden embrace a cease-fire to stop “the genocide of the Palestinian people” or suffer electoral consequences in 2024.
Tlaib said in the video that the “majority of the American people are not with you on this one,” referring to Biden’s remark that the US is with Israel and opposes a cease-fire.
I didn’t hear Tlaib call for a ceasefire after Hamas slaughtered 1,400 innocent Israelis. It was only after the start of the ground offensive Israel announced to take out Hamas.
Tlaib’s words provoked fury on social media, with pro-Israel supporters condemning the congresswoman.
A not-for-profit group, StopAntisemitism, took to social media to point out what the phrase really means.
“From the river to the sea refers to the full erasure of the Jewish state, from Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. It is also the battle cry of Hamas, a savage terrorist group that beheads babies and rapes women. You echo terrorists.”

Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) spoke out as well.
“From the river to the sea is a rallying call for the erasing of the State of Israel. If that’s aspirational to you, that’s a problem. Stand With Israel.”

Rashida Tlaib is a deceiver. Why? Because the chant “From the river to the sea” is a translation of the original Arabic chant “From the water to the water, Palestine will remain Arab.” This is a call for ethnic cleansing of the land of all Jews. Tlaib is a sitting member of Congress and is supporting the genocide of Israeli Jews while at the same time falsely claiming Israel is committing genocide of the people of Gaza. She needs to go.
