During an appearance on CNN on Friday, Shark Tank‘s Kevin O’Leary took digs at Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY (AOC). In discussing the country’s lack of jobs, O’Leary begged for a debate against anyone, but specifically mentioned AOC.
He stated of AOC, “She’s great at killing jobs, she kills jobs by the thousands.”
“Where did Amazon take their jobs?” O’Leary went on. “They took them away from her. She threatened to sue them if they created jobs. I mean, this is a reality!” Even Don Sour Lemon nodded in agreement.
Amazon’s proposal to build a second headquarters in Long Island City, Queens, was met with opposition in 2019 from community activists and left-wing lawmakers such as AOC and state legislators.

These opponents emphasized the significant benefits, totaling $2.5 billion, that Amazon would receive for relocating to the area. Amazon eventually canceled its plans in February 2019, giving AOC and other anti-Amazon politicians in the region a victory.
