Constitutional expert and noted attorney Jonathan Turley gives his thoughts on the Hunter Biden indictments. Several notable Republicans have pointed out that the timing of the indictments will force Hunter to take the fifth on every question asked of him by the House committees investigating him. It also will provide cover for Joe Biden as he fights against his poor record and shady actions during his time as vice president.
He is losing support by Hispanics, Blacks, Catholics, Jews and every day Americans struggling to pay their rent and putting food on the table. In the latest poll, Biden has a 37% approval rating while President Trump leads him in every poll. There is a poll showing that Nikki Haley would beat Biden by seventeen points, but that is a way Democrats use the polls to get Republicans to choose opponents who can’t win. Do you really Believe that Haley who trails Trump by 40 points or better can beat Biden by 17 points? If you do, I have a bridge for sale.
Jonathan Turley, a constitutional scholar and a lifetime liberal has pointed out what the indictment of Hunter Biden means. Or rather what the indictment never mentions. Joe Biden is an unindicted co-conspirator, yet he is not mentioned even once in the indictment. Is this just another cover up by the DOJ? It allows them to provide shade for Joe Biden. Hunter could get 17 years based on the indictment, but if you think he will ever see the inside of a jail cell, you will likely be very disappointed.
The DOJ stressed that the investigation into Hunter is ongoing, which means they could drag this out beyond the 2024 election. If Biden loses, he could pardon Hunter during his lame duck period with no real political fallout since he will never run for office again. I’m not saying Joe Will do it, but it is a real possibility.
Turley points out:
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL“The steps taken by Hunter to evade taxes are impressive, but not nearly as impressive as the efforts of the Justice Department to evade any reference to his father. In that sense, the indictment itself is a marvel of evasion.”
The Burisma-Ukrainian money
“First, the special counsel only indicts tax evasion that occurred in recent years. That’s because the long “investigation” into Hunter inexplicably allowed the statute of limitations to expire on the most controversial payments starting around 2014 from Ukraine gas company Burisma.”
Hunter the foreign agent
“Also missing in the indictment is any charge against Hunter Biden as an unregistered foreign agent. Recently, the Justice Department added a charge to the indictment of Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) that he ran afoul of FARA, the Foreign Agents Registration Act. FARA also was used to go after Donald Trump associates such as Paul Manafort.”
“The problem with charging Hunter with FARA is obvious.”
The unindicted co-conspirator
“By focusing on tax evasion alone, Weiss again avoids any direct reference to the focus of the influence-peddling used to raise these millions of dollars. Even without mentioning the president, the implications of the indictment are devastating for the narrative and denials of Joe Biden.”
“The president has continued to maintain that he had no knowledge or interaction with these dealings. Those statements are clearly and knowingly false.”
