Due to challenges made about election fraud in the 2020 presidential election, the fake news media portrays the January 6, 2021, assault on the US Capitol as an “insurrection.” However, most people who look at the evidence objectively do not think it was.
The Democrats and their stenographers in the mainstream news media never characterize the 2020 riots, which were spurred mostly by the death of Saint George Floyd by Minneapolis police, as insurrections, but they absolutely should. By the way, the coroner in that case declared that Floyd died of an overdose of fentanyl and had no abrasions on his neck that are customary with a suffocation death.
Insurrection is a federal crime under 18 U.S. Code §2383, without a specific definition. The statute known as Insurrection or Rebellion stemmed from the 14th Amendment’s Insurrection clause, which gave Congress the authority to create laws on the matter, which Congress did in 1948.
“Whoever incites … assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against … the U.S. or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined … or imprisoned … and shall be incapable of holding any office under the U.S.”
January 6 was not an insurrection. It’s 2024. Am I allowed to say that?
The 14th Amendment, Section 3, is considered federal law. However, it prevents only former and current officials who have committed rebellion, seemingly including presidents, from holding any federal, state, or local public office.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELCourts in Colorado and Illinois referenced that provision in their efforts to exclude Donald Trump from their states’ GOP primary ballots. That’s because Democrats realize that Trump is probably going to win the 2024 election, and they will do anything to keep him off the ballot, including the ridiculous endeavor of citing insurrection under the 14th Amendment.
On March 4, the US Supreme Court ruled that states cannot invoke Section 3 to exclude federal candidates from their ballots.
The High Court remained mute on whether Trump had carried out an insurrection. Anyone who paid attention knows that Trump said that he wanted the people to “march peacefully and patriotically to the Capitol.” He didn’t incite an insurrection in any way.
In Britannica, an insurrection is “an organized and usually violent act of revolt or rebellion against an established government or governing authority of a nation-state or other political entity by a group of its citizens or subjects” Others argue that an insurrection must involve violence.
The George Floyd and other riots in 2020 are insurrections because they involve thousands of acts against the government. That is indisputable.
Assaults on police and citizens, damage to property and businesses, theft, vandalism, arson, firebombing federal buildings and police stations, occupations of city land, shootings, throwing of bricks and other projectile things at police, and murders. At least 25 Americans were killed as a result of the Saint George Floyd riots. Yet our leftist media doesn’t refer to them at all unless they call them “mostly peaceful.”
When you think about it, the anger stemmed by the rioters was based on the policies of local jurisdictions, yet the media allowed for the false narrative that it was all against Trump. Hence, the attacks on federal buildings, including the White House.
Among the targets are the White House and other federal structures. The rioters nearly got onto White House grounds with evidence they wanted to kill President Trump and his family. More than 50 Secret Service agents were injured protecting the First Family.
After LA police beat Rodney King in 1992, then-Attorney General Bill Barr used the Insurrection Act and the National Guard to quell the rioting. The riots in 2020 were just as much an uprising as the Saint Rodney King riots.
So, why did Bill Barr not declare the 2020 riots as an insurrection? Some speculate that Nancy Pelosi threatened to impeach him to sully his legacy if he did all because of Orange Man Bad.
Though the 2020 uprisings happened officially from May 26 to early June, occasional violence continued for months.
Just as most of the 2020 protesters were peaceful, so were the overwhelming majority of January 6 protesters. The difference is that the DC government wants you to believe everyone at the Capitol that day was a violent and vicious insurrectionist.
Something needs to be done to set the record straight. The same Attorney General who declared the Rodney King riots an insurrection failed in his duty to do so for the 2020 riots, which made what happened in 1992 look like a walk in the park. Democrats used the riot of January 6 to demonize all Trump supporters. President Joe Biden refers to Trump supporters as “MAGA extremists.” The media went on a hysterical spree, claiming the January 6 two-and-a-half-hour riot at the Capitol was “the worst attack on our Capitol since the War of 1812,” ignoring the fact that since the War of 1812, there have been numerous attacks at the Capitol, including gunmen opening fire from the balcony of the House and firing into the crowd, hitting a Congressman and police. There were also two separate incidents where bombs went off right outside the Senate chamber’s doors.
Something needs to be done to stop the Democrats from continuing to exploit the two-tiered system of justice they created for political benefit. The country needs to heal, and it will never happen until the lies and myths of January 6 and the 2020 riots are ironed out.
