Two top officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) submitted their resignations last week. How come that didn’t make huge headlines? Maybe because of what they resigned over.
The two may be of a few of the only honest ones left at the FDA. They voiced their dissatisfaction with how the Biden administration was handling the COVID-19 vaccine booster shots, the White House wanting to push them on the public before the FDA gave approval. Any kind of approval.
Business Insider reported how both Dr. Marion Grube, the director of the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research and Review who’s been working in the agency for thirty-two years, and her deputy, Dr. Philip Krause, submitted their resignation notices on Tuesday, August 31.
According to Politico, the two resignations were sparked by a disagreement with the White House’s premature launching of the booster shots on top of differences with Peter Marks, the FDA’s head vaccine guy.
These two leaving could very well trigger a “potential mutiny” amongst other FDA employees along with third-party vaccine advisors who felt similarly, believing they have been intentionally left out of the entire decision-making process on vaccine boosters and when they should be provided to the public.
A former senior FDA official told the biotech industry publication “Endpoints” that Gruber and Krause were leaving because they saw that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was making vaccine decisions that was always under the purview of the FDA and they were dismayed that Marks, who headed up their division, failed to insist on their agency’s oversight.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELThis is not the first time the CDC has overstepped its authority. Last month, the US Supreme Court slapped down Rochelle Walensky’s unlawful eviction moratorium order because the Executive branch does not have the power to create laws but she did it anyway.
That’s because the Democrats have corrupted science. The Biden administration completely politicized the vaccine process. How else can they explain announcing on August 23 that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was approved when it was not? On August 27, I reported that the FDA pulled a fast one where they approved the vaccine “Comirnaty” that Pfizer created for the company BioNTech and that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the one that everyone knows about, is still under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). It appears that the FDA allegedly made the announcement intentionally confusing to stir people to get vaccinated, thinking it’s been approved and to get woke corporations to mandate their employees get the jab. The problem is, BioNTech announced that Comirnaty will not be available for public use until 2023 or 2024, so the only vaccine available is still under EUA.
The Daily Mail provided the backstory for how the FDA released a statement early last week that was signed by top Biden administration officials like CDC director Rochelle Walensky, NIH director Dr. Anthony Faucistein, and acting FDA commissioner Janet Woodcock (who is allegedly responsible for the opioid crisis), and other officials, highlighting a plan for the release of the booster shots. But then they said that the publication noted how the statement was simply a press release, and not an official FDA authorization. So they released a statement on providing booster shots to people who have already been vaccinated before they gave the official authorization.
Why is everything, and I mean everything, done by this administration performed bass-ackwards?
“I think since [the statement] was given with a date, many assumed that it was given a blessing by the White House and this was the next step,” said Helen Keipp Talbot, a committee member and an associate professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University. She also pointed out that health providers “now put themselves at risk” by immunizing people outside of the recommendations of both the CDC and the FDA.
Like I said, bass-ackwards.
Another Politico article mentioned how a bunch of members from the CDC’s independent vaccine advisory panel already expressed frustration with the Biden administration last Monday, feeling his plan to release the booster shots as premature. But Joe Biden doesn’t listen to experts. He does what he wants to do regardless of what could go wrong. Afghanistan, anyone?
Dr. Gruber and Dr. Krause plan to leave the FDA by October and November, respectively. Apparently, people who maintain professionalism do not fit in with the Biden administration.
