On Tuesday evening, irresponsible world leaders, journalists, and anti-Israeli activists fueled anti-American riots across the Middle East by disseminating Hamas’s lies that an Israeli airstrike killed 500 Palestinian civilians at a hospital in Gaza.
An angry mob stormed the streets of Amman, Jordan’s capital, and attempted to storm the Israeli embassy compound. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd, according to reports.
Protesters encircled the US and French embassies in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, attempting but failing to breach them. Protesters also targeted the capital’s headquarters of a United Nations Mideast program, with video from local sites showing the area outside the United Nations building on fire.
Mobs of enraged Muslim males gathered in Turkey’s capital, Ankara, and Istanbul, as well as other areas.
Angry mobs also rioted in Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran, whose government financially supports Hamas.
The facts, which surfaced overnight, revealed that a rocket launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terror group had likely misfired and landed in the hospital parking lot, resulting in fewer injuries and less damage to the hospital itself.

Egypt, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority accused Israel and canceled a meeting with President Joe Biden to explore methods to assist the Palestinian people. Other Arab states agreed that Israel was to blame.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) alleged in the United States that “Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital, killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that.” Her accusation fueled indignation — and gave it excessive legitimacy because it came from a US president.
Following the hospital bombing, one former British member of Parliament declared that Israel had “forfeited any right to exist,” effectively calling for the genocide of Israelis, who would likely face Hamas-style brutality in the absence of a state.
The violence was not limited to the Middle East and Africa: a synagogue in Berlin, Germany, was firebombed early Wednesday, barely hours after Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited Israel in support on the same day as the Gaza hospital explosion.
